Home Time Crisis Pedal!

File this one under stupid simple. Literally just took 15 minutes. If you're a Time Crisis fan, and you're fortunate to still have a CRT to play with. This project is a treat. 


Items you need:

  1. 3.5mm headphone jack (steal one from an old piece of tech)
  2. Old PS1 controller. DO NOT GET the PS2 one, otherwise you'll need to deal with the analog buttons.
  3. Rockband/Guitar hero drum pedal
  4. Wire

 

Step 1: Get to the PS1 controller PCB

Step 2: Solder your 3.5mm jack to one of the buttons. You'll need to determine which leads correspond to the jack contacts on the drum pedal. Each lead should go to the appropriate contact of the controller button. 

Plug in your drum pedal and your controller to the PS1/PS2 and enjoy!
